Personal Watercraft Pilot Program

Lewis & Clark Scout Camp is pleased to announce our new Personal Watercraft pilot program.  Lewis & Clark is one of five scout camps in the country chosen to build and test a personal watercraft program.  The other four camps are located on the coasts.  As part of this pilot program we are required to follow certain guidelines and procedures.  It is our goal to run a safe, exciting, and fun program that will hopefully become the standard throughout the country.

Program Features

  • Learn how to safely use Personal Watercraft (Wave Runners/ Jet Ski)
  • Ride Personal Water Craft (Kawasaki STX 15F)
  • Two class options, morning and afternoon
  • Twelve Scouts in each class per week
  • All participants will wear a PFD and required safety equipment
  • Must be 14 years of age at the time of arival
  • Must be a “Swimmer” to participate
  • Written parental permission required (see attached below)

Personal Watercraft activities are NOT approved for any Boy Scout of America program, with the exception of camp properties which have been selected to participate in this pilot program.
