Effective May 1, 2010, Venturing age is being lowered per the national Board resolution below. Effective May 1, 2010, the age requirement be changed to 13 years of age and completion of the eighth grade.
The 2010 Annual Wood Badge Banquet and Auction will be held Saturday, March 27th at the Royal Loon in Slayton, MN. A social gathering will begin at 6:30 pm with dinner at 7:00 pm. Cost is $15 per person. Pre-registration in required.
National Youth Leadership Training is an exciting, action-packed program (six days, five nights) designed to provide youth members of the Boy Scouts of America with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others. The 2010 NYLT course will be held July 5-11, 2010.

Agencies trained in disaster relief are already on the ground in Haiti. Additionally, the U.S. is sending military troops and supplies to further assist rescue and relief efforts. But there are still a number of ways members of the BSA can help in Haiti.
